Your Canoe Trip Day by Day

Day 1

After setting off by canoe from Saint Dyé sur Loire on the first day, you will descend the Loire at your own pace, passing by Cour sur Loire and the Château de Ménars to stop at the canoe base if you wish to retrieve your vehicle or sleep at the campsite.

Overnight stay: Stop at the base, at Camping Val de Blois, where you can rent equipped tents or chalets (200m from the Loire Kayak base), hotels, gîtes, bed and breakfasts… (You can retrieve your vehicle from the base's parking lot). Bivouacking is possible upstream and downstream from the base.

Day 2

On the second day, departing from the base, you will cross Blois and its 3 bridges and continue your hike to the foot of the Château de Chaumont-sur- Loire where we will take you back to our base by minibus…

Welcome to the Loire Kayak, where we'll provide a description of your trip, equipment fitting, and then a minibus shuttle to the starting point in the late afternoon. At the end of your canoe trip, we'll pick you up in Chaumont-sur Loire at the end of the day.

Free and unsupervised parking at our base in Vineuil.

By road, the D951 (left bank) towards Orléans, approximately 3 km from Blois.
By train, Blois station is 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris.
By bicycle, it's just 15 minutes via the cycle path that connects our base to Blois city center.

Our base is located 15 minutes from the castles of Chambord and Cheverny, 45 minutes from Tours and Orléans, and only 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris.
