This 4-day kayak trip Loire is accessible to everyone ; you don't need to be an expert kayaker. Each day covers about 20 kilometers, or approximately 3.5 hours of paddling, allowing plenty of time to relax and enjoy breaks for sightseeing and refreshments. An excursion far removed from modern life, a return to nature , unique experiences, and pure enjoyment await you on this trip. Don't forget to visit Blois (castles, museums, old town, etc.) before or after your canoe trip.

Your Canoe Trip Day by Day

Day 1

Cavereau – Loire Kayak Base: 20 km (4 hours by canoe) During your day trip, you will pass by the Château de Colliers, the church of Saint-Dyé-sur- Loire (former port of Chambord), the village of Cour-sur- Loire , and the Château de Menars. This route is one of the most beautiful canoe trips on the Loire !

Overnight stay: Stop at the base, at Camping Val de Blois, where you can rent equipped tents or chalets (200m from the Loire Kayak base), hotels, gîtes, bed and breakfasts… (You can retrieve your vehicle from the base's parking lot). Bivouacking is possible upstream and downstream from the base.
Possible visits: Chambord, Beauregard, and Blois castles; bike rentals available on site .

Day 2

Base Loire Kayak – Chaumont: 20 km (4 hours by canoe) You will cross Blois and pass through the port of La Creusille, where you will see the traditional boats of the Loire , arrival in Chaumont sur Loire at the left bank campsite before the bridge.

Overnight stay: Camping in Chaumont-sur- Loire , hotel, gîte.
Visit: Château and Gardens of Chaumont-sur- Loire .

Day 3

Chaumont – Amboise: 18 km (4 hours by canoe)
You will pass at the foot of the castles of Chaumont sur Loire and Amboise.

Overnight stay: Camping de l'île d'or (Amboise), hotel, gîte.
Sightseeing: Château d'Amboise, Clos Lucé (Leonardo da Vinci's last residence).

Day 4

Amboise – Vouvray: 14 km (3 hours by canoe)
A few kilometers after Amboise, you will pass at the foot of Montlouis-sur Loire on the left bank, where you can stock up on supplies, get a drink, or visit a site.
Sights to see: Troglodyte caves along the Loire , the village of Montlouis-sur Loire , and the Maison de Loire ).

Upon your arrival in Vouvray, we will take you back to the base by minibus.

Return to Vouvray

be welcomed at the Loire Kayak the day before or at least 30 minutes before the shuttles (9:30 am or 11:00 am). We will provide a description of your trip, equipment fitting, and then a minibus shuttle to the starting point. At the end of your canoe trip, we will pick you up in Vouvray .

Shuttles run on the morning of the first ^day and in the late afternoon of the last day.
Free, unsupervised parking is available at our base in Vineuil.

By road, the D951 (left bank) towards Orléans, approximately 3 km from Blois.
